(updated APRIL 5, 2008)  (Merlin - Blue Bicolor Ragdoll kitten at 13 weeks - ADOPTED) ** Please enjoy your visit.  Merlin is happy to show you around! **  Deposits recommended to reserve your kitten ABOVE: LILAC COLORPOINT FEMALE, AN EXAMPLE OF THE GORGEOUS RARE LILAC BABIES BORN HERE AT LIONS ROYALE RAGDOLLS!!  See Annie Bella growing up in the Photo Album page! ** LITTER ANNOUNCEMENTS ** LIONSROYALE is excited to announce new arrivals for 2008!   SARA (Solid Black Ragdoll TICA reg'd) x REGIS (Lilac Mitted)4 Beautiful babies born March 20th*Babies are all chocolate carriers!!* Click to Enlarge Photos!!                  Shown above at just 3 weeks Blue Colorpoint Female(Blue-eyed) Seal Point mitted Female (Blue-eyed) Solid Black mitted Male (Green Eyed) Solid Blue mitted female (reserved) Solid Ragdolls are a controversial cat because they are not a blue-eyed pointed Ragdoll as the breed standard requires.  Their eyes can be any color and they are born with their full color/pattern showing.  They aren't recognized by all cat associations but are registered in TICA (The International Cat Association).  Most Ragdoll breeders prefer that the Solid Ragdoll have a separate breed name and until this happens they will most likely not be accepted in Canada for registration or exhibition.They are a very beautiful cat with the same size and fabulous personality as a traditional Ragdoll.  When bred to a pointed Ragdoll they can produce both solid and pointed, blue eyed kittens in the same litter.  Considering other breeds have been introduced to the Ragdolls to get new colors like Flame, Cream, Lilac, Chocolate and even the lynx pattern, it's surprising that the solid cat is objected to so vehemently.  The biggest objection is the fact that they don't have points or blue eyes.   Solids aren't for everyone. Many prefer to stick with the traditional Ragdolls.  Sara is our only solid Ragdoll. She won me over with her outgoing, loving personality.  Her last litter were all pointed and blue-eyed.  She even produced a beautiful show quality blue bicolor boy that we had named MERLIN!!  You can see him at the top of this page.  Sara and her babies are quite welcome in my home. Show kittens take priority over pet kittens.       When is the Kitten Available: Your pet Ragdoll Kitten will be available for adoption at approx. 12 weeks of age and will depend on the kitten itself. Some kittens are naturally smaller than their litter mates or slower at becoming independent of their mother and eating/drinking or using the litter box on their own. Pet kittens being shipped to new homes are neutered before leaving and therefore must remain with me for an extra week or two.
